The Crazy Circle

The Crazy Circle is a lesbian and feminist bar in Ixelles, away from the gay quarter in the centre. It was a rum bar until it was converted in 2019, and it now describes itself as a place for people on the lesbian, bi and trans spectrum, including anyone still working that out, and for their friends.

It runs as much like a venue as a bar: concerts, DJ nights, karaoke, cabaret, exhibitions and reading groups. Femme Jam is its own jam session with an all-female stage, and the bar says it is the only one of its kind in the city. Drinks are cheap for Brussels. There is a published charter, and the bar works with LGBTQ+ organisations across the city, which is why so much of its programme is other people's.
