L'Homo Erectus is a small queer cafe-bar at the top of the Brussels gay street, run by the fetish shop a couple of doors along. It calls itself one of the city's oldest queer spaces.
The room is compact and the crowd is broad across ages and gender, which is not true of every bar on the street. There are live performances, and the connection to the leather and fetish community stays visible through the shop that runs it. A piercing artist works out of the same address.
