Chez Maman is a drag bar just off the Brussels gay street, and the place most people in the city name first when asked where to see a drag show. The room is small and the stage is barely raised, so performers work close enough to the front row to lean on it.

The bar is not the old-fashioned, tired kind of drag venue. The crowd starts mixed and young and turns more gay as the evening goes on. Shows are the whole point rather than a sideline, and the place fills up for them, so a reservation is worth making.
