Gay Sauna 't Herenhuis

't Herenhuis is the only gay sauna in Antwerp, in a nineteenth-century townhouse in Berchem just south of the centre, and has been running since 1999. The building is the point: high ceilings, old rooms turned into wet rooms, none of the bunker feeling that the genre usually has.

There are saunas, a swimming pool and a jacuzzi big enough for a dozen men with massage jets, along with the usual relaxation and cruising areas. Drinks and small dishes are served, and men's grooming treatments can be booked.

Berchem is a fifteen-minute tram ride from the centre, which is worth planning for, since this is not a place you stumble into on the way home.
