The Adlerhof is a family-run hotel pension on Elisabethstraße, in the newer part of Salzburg's centre. The main railway station is a few minutes' walk away and the old town about a quarter of an hour on foot.
The house is a 19th-century brick building with ornate white stucco around its windows. All 30 rooms are inside it, from singles to rooms for four, and each has its own shower and WC. Breakfast is served in a café room that has kept its 19th-century interior.
The house calls itself a personal alternative to chain hotels. Guests can park for free.
